8th Graders Interested in High School Student Council
8th graders, If you are interested in being in Student Council next year at the High School, petitions are on the table outside of the Main Office. They are looking for 8th graders to be the freshmen President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, or a general member. There will be a retreat this summer with the rest of the Council, so you must get your petition in by this Thursday, May 23rd. The petitions can be turned in to Mrs. O’Brien or Mr. Ward.

Randels 5th Graders Visit CAMS
Randels 5th graders take a trip to the Middle School to get familiar with the building, before attending next year.
CAMS 8th Grade Celebration T-Shirts are now Available
CAMS 8th grade celebration T-shirt will be sold until May 3rd during lunch hour. Student’s who are not attending the Cedar Point trip may purchase the T-shirts as they will be worn to the ceremony on May 23rd. Money and order’s are being taken until Friday, this will be their only chance to receive the T-shirts. The cost of shirts goes as follows: S-XL $7.00, XXL $9.00, XXXL $10.00.
CAMS YouthQuest Update!
This week at Carman Ainsworth Middle School, students were hard at work putting the finishing touches on their displays and performances for ArtQuest. Students signed up for Choir with Mrs. Toneida Threldkeld. She took their voices through a wide range of harmonies and song styles. One would be amazed at the big voices echoing out of some of these young students.
Careful consideration to not miss any details for the upcoming “End of the Year Event” is being put into all the required activities. Students formed groups based on their preferences as they decided to separate the workload. Some worked on the commercial, some on brochures, and others brainstormed ideas for their flag. In the end, California will be well represented at this year’s celebration!

Free Tennis Clinic at CAMS!
Beginners to intermediate players can attend the Free Tennis Clinic held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday May 20th-May 30th. The clinic takes place 3:15-5pm at CAMS tennis courts.

CAMS Media Center Hosts Community Seminar on Internet Safety
The Middle School will be hosting a Community Seminar in the media center on Wednesday, April 17th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. This is for all parents and guardians in the district interested in learning about how to monitor and keep students safe on the internet.
CAMS Hosts a Book Exchange
The Middle School Media Center is hosting a book exchange. If you bring a book, you get a book! Students may drop off gently used, age appropriate books between April 15-26th to the media center and pick out new books April 29th –May 3rd.
