Congrats To The Carman-Ainsworth FRC Team 314
The Carman-Ainsworth FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition®) Team 314 did compete this last weekend at the Livonia FIRST® Robotics District Competition with 39 other teams from around the state to earn points at qualifying for a spot at the Michigan FRC State Championship. This was their second competition this year. They had a fantastic weekend.
- Overall Rank: 3rd in the District event
- Was selected by the 1st Alliance Captain to be a partner which we had declined as we wanted to be our own Alliance Captain
- Played in the Elimination matches which went all the way to the finals. Quarter-finals and Finals went to 3 matches.
- We are also the 2014 Livonia FIRST® Robotics District Competition Winners. Our Alliance was Team 314, Megatron Oracles (Captain),Team 503 Frog Force, Novi and Team 815, Advanced Power, Allen Park.
- Because of these efforts we are currently in 4th place out of 278 teams that played in the State of Michigan with a total of 131 points earned towards the Michigan FRC State Championship. Also according to a unofficial listing on ChiefDelphi.com we are ranked 41st out of 2451 FRC Teams who have competed worldwide. Just remember
- Because of the points we are now projected to compete at the Michigan FRC State Championship.
- Also this last weekend was the 10 year anniversary of when the Megatron Oracles won the first blue banner at the Southern California Regional with 59 other teams and only one other team from Michigan was out there with us. It was also our Alliance partner, FRC Team 815 Advanced Power from Allen Park. (little trivia & history)

Michigan Advanced Technician Training
Please plan to attend a special presentation on April 3 to learn more about Michigan Advanced Technician Training (MAT2).
MAT2 provides students with:
- College tuition paid for by the employer
- On-the-job training with pay*
- An advanced Associate’s degree in a high-tech, in demand field
- A guaranteed job upon successful completion of the program
MAT2 will provide employers with:
- Highly skilled and capable, young workforce
- The unique opportunity to define educational content and train in-house
- A well-developed system, with the option to add and develop new programs and Professions
*In exchange, MAT2 graduates commit to remaining on the job for at least two years after the training period ends.
7th Grader Performs In Jackie & Me
Carman-Ainsworth Middle School 7th grade student, Isaiah Hill, is performing in the production of Jackie and Me at the Flint Youth Theatre. He is playing opposing players and students in a classroom. Congratulations to Isaiah for his parts in Jackie and Me.

Important info about 2014 Prom…
• Prom will be held May 3rd, at Black Forest in Frankenmuth from 7:30 to 10:30.
• Tickets will be on sale for $45 beginning April 22-29th in room 302 (Mrs. Standen) before and after school only!
• See Mrs. Standen or Mr. Iseler for any questions.
• Guest passes are now available in the main office. All CAHS students wanting to bring a non-CAHS student must submit a guess pass for approval by Thursday, April 17th.
