Approximately 82 CAHS juniors are currently participating in our 2nd annual ACT Prep workshop offered at CAHS to prepare for the State mandated ACT in early March. These students will have the opportunity to take a retired ACT assessment twice prior to taking the real ACT. The workshop is designed for students to learn test taking strategies along with improving their specific content knowledge. The curriculum being used is designed by Cambridge Educational and is tailored to the needs of each student.

All of these juniors took an ACT pre-test on Dec 3rd, and received their results with an item analysis the following week. The item analysis allows students to identify their strengths and weaknesses in each content area and helps their teachers plan appropriate lessons. We are excited about offering this opportunity and expect the workshop to positively impact our students’ test scores in a similar fashion as they did with last year’s juniors.
