The Carman-Ainsworth Middle School National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony took place on Monday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School in the Auditorium. Seventy-two new members were welcomed into the CAMS chapter of the NJHS. The ceremony was led by 8^th grade members of the NJHS. After the ceremony, a small reception was held to celebrate the accomplishments of the students.

Criteria for selection: 7^th and 8^th Grade students must have a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher; selected members must meet high standards of leadership, service, citizenship, scholarship, and character. Admission into the National Junior Honor Society is based on participation in one or more community or school activities, GPA, and citizenship. Citizenship is measured by the student’s participation in civic organizations and/or activities. Character is measured in terms of integrity, behavior, ethics, and cooperation with both students and faculty. Students are screened by a Faculty Council consisting of current school staff members.
