Positive Peers At Dillon!

Dillon’s Positive Peers have been so helpful during all these cold days we have been inside. Our third grade students will go into the kindergarten classrooms and help monitor them during recess. What a great help for our Noon Hour Supervisors.

Dillon Brain Gym!

Many teachers at Dillon Elementary have students do brain gym throughout the day. This helps the students get exercise and wake up during different parts of the day. We like to see our students awake and ready to learn!

Hat Day at Dillon Elementary

Students and teachers at Dillon Elementary were able to wear a hat to school on Friday, February 28, 2014 if they donated a dollar to the Food Bank. This is one of the many special days we have had over this year to contribute to the Food Bank.

Cookies and Cocoa Night at Dillon!

Dillon students and parents got to experience our cookies and cocoa night during our conferences!  Students got to take home a gingerbread book, make a gingerbread boy or girl with words of praise written on it by their parents, decorate a foam frame for a story they wrote about getting away from the fox if they were a gingerbread person, and they got to decorate a gingerbread cookie and eat it!  Thank you Title I for all of the great activities our students and parents got to enjoy!

100th day of school at Dillon!

Dillon Kindergarten students celebrated their 100th day of school!  They were making fun hats, brought it 100 of a certain item for the classroom 100’s museum. One class even had pictures aging kids to 100 and they wrote about what they would be doing when they were 100. What a great day all of the students had.

CAMS String Orchestra visits Dillon!

Calling all Stars

StarsWhen a student does something GREAT! We like to do a good news phone call home and they get their name on the board! Black stars are for the first marking period and the red stars are for second marking period! We can’t wait to see how many we get this marking period!

Dillon Students Enjoyed MLK Assembly

The Flint Public Library was so gracious to sponsor a wonderful assembly in honor of MLK!  This was  a wonderful fun experience and the children loved the dancing and different musical instruments.

Rankin/Dillon/Learning Community 7th Annual Daddy/Daughter and Mother/Son Dance

For-Mar Gives Dillon Students a Lesson about Nutrition

For-Mar came to visit Dillon Elementary. They taught the third grade students about nutrition, and discussed the healthy things to eat versus the unhealthy things to eat.
