Dye Bulldogs and the Terrific, Fantastic, Amazing, Very Good Day
Kindergarten, first, and second grade students brought their families back to Dye Elementary for a fun night of learning. Families first read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst. Then they practiced comprehension strategies with games, drawing, writing, sequencing, and crafts. Everyone enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies to end the night. Families took home treats and a copy of the book. It was a very good day to be a Dye Bulldog!
Dye Elementary Concert
On Thursday, November 20th, the second grade classes at Dye Elementary performed a concert. The program featured highlights from the first two units the students studied in Music this year. They sang patriotic songs and school songs, they performed rhythm patterns, and they sang folk songs. In addition, many students were featured performing solos, acting, and playing percussion instruments. The concert was well received by a supportive and enthusiastic audience. The students celebrated with a Tootsie Pop treat after the show.
