Cookies and Cocoa Night at Dillon!
Dillon students and parents got to experience our cookies and cocoa night during our conferences! Students got to take home a gingerbread book, make a gingerbread boy or girl with words of praise written on it by their parents, decorate a foam frame for a story they wrote about getting away from the fox if they were a gingerbread person, and they got to decorate a gingerbread cookie and eat it! Thank you Title I for all of the great activities our students and parents got to enjoy!

Fun with Trail Mix at Dye Elementary
Second graders in Mrs. McDunnah’s class are participating in Project PLACE this year for social studies. Our first unit focused on economics. For the final project the students had to produce a good they could sell at school. We surveyed 3rd-5th grades and the majority of the students voted for trail mix. We set an assembly line up in our classroom and produced 200 bags. We sold the bags for 50 cents. Overall we raised $100. The class decided to donate earnings to the Food Bank. The students learned a lot and had fun at the same time!
