Randels Elementary YouthQuest Update
This week, Randels Kindergarten and First Grade students were able to learn from a few special friends that we all know and love. Sloan Museum has a display running through April that familiarizes the students with healthy living and eating. All the members of Sesame Street were gathered to assist with this extended learning opportunity. Elmo even hosted a breakfast that day and read bedtime stories to the inquisitive students. Students were able to go grocery shopping and pick through several items, including fruits and vegetables. There was also a display breaking down mucus, the lungs, the heart and more. This group enjoyed themselves and took advantage of being able to interact with the displays.
Randels Elementary is Taking Part in the Tyson Project A+ Fundraiser
We have an exciting opportunity to share with you. We are taking part in a national fundraising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. called Tyson Project A+™. Through this program, we can raise as much as $12,000 for our school! The money we raise can go towards buying books or computers, making improvements to our buildings, or anything else that we want. All we have to do to participate is clip and save the entire Project A+™ label from participating Tyson products. Each label we collect is worth 24¢ for our school.
