The Michigan Thespian Festival took place at Saginaw Valley State University on November 30th and December 1st, 2012. Over the course of the two days, students and teachers are able to choose from 40-50 workshops in various areas of performance and technical theatre, compete in a variety of Individual events, audition for scholarships from colleges & universities and visit information booths and theatrical vendors. The following students distinguished themselves with the following awards:

Dahlia Kassel:  Excellence in playwrighting
Alex Link:  Excellence in acting monologues
Sierra McNeal:  Excellence in  solo musical
Taylor Brooks:  Excellence in solo musical
Kila Johnson:  Excellence in acting monologues
Kila Johnson:  Superior in solo dance performance was offered scholarships from Rochester College and the University of Findlay.
Michaela Nogaj & Sierra McNeal:  Superior in duet musical performance
Michaela Nogaj:  Superior in solo musical performance was offered scholarships from Eastern Michigan University, Central Michigan University, University of Findlay, Siena Height University

CA students were offered $39,500 in scholarships through their participation in this event. Congratulations to all of our students who participated and instructor Delynne Miller!
