On Thursday, February 5^th, the first graders at Dye Elementary gave a concert entitled “School Days in Music.” The program featured highlights from the units the students have studied in music class so far this year. They sang folk songs, patriotic songs, and schools songs to show the audience some of the things they are learning about rhythm, melody, and harmony. Many students were featured singing solos and playing handbells. The concert was well received by a supportive and enthusiastic audience. The students celebrated with a Tootsie Pop treat when the concert was finished.
