On Thursday, April 23^rd, about 60 of the third, fourth and fifth grade musicians at Dye Elementary performed in the 2015 Showcase Concert.  The concert began with all of the students singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Charge On, Cavaliers.”  Then the third graders took the stage, each of them taking turns singing duets for the verses of the traditional folk and popular songs they sang.  After that, the fourth graders were featured playing their recorders.  Next, the fifth graders performed a variety of songs, several of which included percussion accompaniments.  For the finale, all of the students returned to the stage and sang two closing songs together.  The concert was well received by a supportive and gracious audience.  The musicians celebrated with a Tootsie Pop treat after the show.
