Second graders in Mrs. McDunnah’s class are participating in Project PLACE this year for social studies.  Our first unit focused on economics.  For the final project the students had to produce a good they could sell at school.  We surveyed 3^rd-5^th grades and the majority of the students voted for trail mix.  We set an assembly line up in our classroom and produced 200 bags.  We sold the bags for 50 cents.  Overall we raised $100.  The class decided to donate earnings to the Food Bank.  The students learned a lot and had fun at the same time!
