Rankin Elementary Helps Raise Money for Leukemia and Lymphoma
Rankin Elementary istrying to raise money for patients with leukemia and lymphoma. Last week students brought home a packet of papers explaining the different activities. For $1 students may buy a pass to listen to the iPod at lunch time on march 22nd (only students you have purchased a pass may participate). For $2 students can send a “Jammie Grammie” to someone special. The deliveries will take place on Thursday, March 28th. During the entire month of March Mrs. McGilvery is announcing a bingo word during morning announcements. In order to participate students must purchase a bingo card for just $1. And the big jar of candy kisses? The student who guesses the number of kisses in the jar or comes the closest will win the jar of candy. Each guess is just $.25 and the winner will be announced on the 28th. Each classroom also has a penny box to collect spare change. The money raised by the classrooms will help to support the Pennies for Patients program. The classroom who raises the most money will win a pizza party next month.
