Snowmobile Safety Class

This class is designed and developed by the Michigan Department of Natural resources. It is a home study class with a follow up of the high points and survival skills taught by Conservation Officers. They will cover Michigan’s snowmobile laws, required equipment, safe snowmobile handling, first aid, clothing and more. Students who successfully complete the class and pass the written test will be awarded a Snowmobile Safety Certificate which allows persons over 12 years to operate a snowmobile on public lands and cross roads without adult supervision. Students should be 12 years or older by February 1st. Students need to submit their Social Security Number and pick up the class book which must be read prior to class. Books are available at the C-A Administration building and The Learning Community. Parents are encouraged to attend.
