Students in the CA High School’s first Design and Build class Make a Plaque
Shaquel Polacek and Grant Roe, students in the CA High School’s first Design and Build class, created a beautiful plaque which was presented to Dr. Tunnicliff at the CA board meeting Tuesday evening. The plaque was precision cut using the (CNC) Computer Numerical Control “Shark” Router. The students first created a 3D drawing using CAD (Computer Aided Design) equipment and translated that into commands that controlled the intricate cutting of the wood. The inscription on the 22’’x30’’ plaque reads ”Dr. Tunnicliff, We would like to present you with the CA crest as a thank you for your support for the Design and Build program. Big thank you from all of us”. All of the names of the students in this inaugural class were also inscribed on the plaque. The plaque will be displayed at CA High School. The Design and Build class is taught by Brian Klein and Gerald Demick.
